January Double Page Sketch with Stick It Down!

Hello again!
I'm back with some exciting news! I was chosen to join Stick It Down's double page team for this upcoming term! Whooo! So excited about that because I LOVE double page layouts!

To kick off the new year, we have this really fun sketch:

I loved how this layout incorporated some fun tags! Here's my take:

I rotated the tags to the side and added a fun scalloped border down below. This layout is showcasing all the beautiful lupine (a small purple flower) that we came across while visiting Iceland last summer. I loved seeing fields and fields of it!

Thanks for swinging by and happy scrapping!

January Sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!

Welcome to another new year! I can't believe it's already 2019! However, I'm very excited to start another term with Let's Get Sketchy! I had so much fun last year seeing so many neat projects and I can't wait to see what this upcoming year holds.

Without further ado, here is our sketch for the month:

Here is my take on it:

As you probably guessed, I couldn't help but make it into a two page layout to fully document this neat waterfall that we came across in Iceland last summer:

Thanks again for looking! Hope you can join us at Let's Get Sketchy this month!

December Challenge

Snow is flying here in Minnesota and I'm so excited it's finally December! I love how the world settles down and everything feels cozy this time of year. :)

Here's Let's Get Sketchy's challenge for the month:

No automatic alt text available.

Here's my take on it:

I turned mine into a two page layout! So here's the second page:

As you probably have figured out, I'm still scrapbooking my summer trip to Iceland! I love playing with these photos because it was such a beautiful place!

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season. God Bless!

November 1st Challenge

November is here! Whew! If you work at a school like me, you know that Nov. 1st is one of those days where the powers that be should just cancel school. Wrangling kiddos is extra tricky on the day after Halloween! 24 hours later and the sugar high still remains! Hah!

Alright enough about school, let's get to our Let's Get Sketchy challenge for the month:

Here's my take:

To be honest, I really struggled with this sketch because I was battling the size of my photos the whole time. Do you ever have pages like that? Pages that seem to take more effort? This was one of those for me! Thankfully, I'm finally happy with the finished product.

Have a wonderful November and I hope you join us at Let's Get Sketchy!

Here's my take:

I actually turned my sketch into a fun two-page layout, since I have so many photos that need to get scrapbooked! Here's how my two-pager turned out:

Thanks for swinging by my blog! Have a fantastic week!

Guest Design at Stick It Down!

Hey again everyone!
I have the privilege of being a Guest Designer at Stick It Down this month!!

Here is their fun two-page sketch for October:

Here's my take on the sketch:

If you can't tell I really like using two-page sketches (plus I have LOTS of photos to scrap!) Thankfully, I was able to use this sketch to document some of the awesome cuisine that we enjoyed in Iceland this summer. As always, thanks so much for swinging by my blog!

October 1st Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone and welcome to October! Don't you just love fall?! I'm truly enjoying the cooler temperatures and the beautiful colors all around!

Time for our new sketch this month from Let's Get Sketchy!

I LOVED this sketch because I immediately thought I could use the triangles to model the mountains and waterfalls that my husband and I saw when visiting Iceland in July. Take a look:

Thanks so much for joining me today!
