March 15th Challenge

The Ides of March! It also just so happens to be my little brothers birthday today! Happy Birthday Nate! We love you!

Alright, let's get down to our Let's Get Sketchy challenge for the end of the month:

And for a twist you must use this mood board too:

Here was my take on the challenge:

I didn't quite have four photos to showcase, so I modified the sketch by adding an embellishment cluster and moving the journaling card over. If you haven't taken a peak at the Illustrates Faith: "Bright and Brave", go check it out! It's sooo fun! :)

This layout is about us purchasing our first house this fall! Such an exciting thing! I can't thank God enough for providing us with the perfect place :)

March 1st Challenge

Happy March! I love knowing that spring is right around the corner!

Here is our starting sketch for the month of March. You can view the details at Let's Get Sketchy.

We also have a moodboard this month! I loved the bright spring-y colors that Brenshevia included!

Here's my take on the challenge. I love this photo of me, my sweet grandpa and his horse! I am doing my best to cherish my moments with him. :)

February 1st Challenge

Welcome to February everyone! I've always loved this month due to the emphasis on love and romance. I'm a sucker for Hallmark this is a great month for me! Let's check out the first sketch of this month from Let's Get Sketchy:

Here's my take:

I snapped this photo just as we were leaving Florida to move back to Minnesota!

I'm also entering this in Brenda's History Challenge for the month. I chose to use 5 different embellishments: eyelets, twine, stickers, straws and die cuts.

Thanks for swinging by!

January Challenges:

I loved seeing the challenge at Stuck?! Sketches this month and knew I had to play along with it! Here's my layout from a special camp that we helped with this summer known as "Camp Courage" (the faces of the participants have been blurred intentionally). Thanks Stuck?! Sketches for the fun!

I also loved GrandDiva's "sports-themed challenge"/banner and combined it with Scrap Our Stash's Blend-a-Sketch challenge. I included a vertical banner for Grand Diva's challenge. For Scrap Our Stash's challenge, I was inspired by the half-circle shape of the first sketch and the line of photos (I placed mine vertically) from the second sketch. I added some pink rhinestones to girl-ify this football page even more! Haha! :)

Although our Minnesota Vikings didn't end the season the way many of us hoped, they still had the best run they have had in years and it was so fun to be a fan! Better luck for our Vikings next year!

Jan. 15th Challenge

Whew! Mid-way through January already? Here in Minnesota, winters are always a bit chilly, so I'm daydreaming today of a nice warm beach somewhere in the Caribbean! If you're stuck inside this month (like me) then join us at Let's Get Sketchy in scrapping this sketch this month:

Here's my take:

And then I decided to turn it into a two-page layout by adding this page:

After my husband graduated from PA School, he went and interviewed in 3 different states: Minnesota (our home state), California and Michigan. As God would have it, we ended back up in Minnesota <---probably due to my praying mother in pink!

Thanks for swinging by and don't forget to play with us at Let's Get Sketchy!

Here's my take on the sketch:

I am so incredibly proud of my husband Chris, for finishing Physician Assistant school this past August. He worked so hard and I'm so glad he's done! Yay!
