September Challenges

Now that I'm back from my trip, I've finally found some time to scrap! Here's a layout I whipped up for Rochelle Spear's challenge and Scrap with Stacy's moodboard challenge. I liked the layout challenge so I used it for my annual school photo from last year.

September Double Page Sketch from Stick It Down

Another school year has begun and we have another double page challenge from Stick It Down. I know I've said this in the past, but I really REALLY love double page spreads! And I think this one turned out pretty cute!

September Single Page Sketch from Let's Get Sketchy

And welcome to FALL! My favorite season of ALL!

For all of you followers out there, my Europe trip was FANTASTIC and I can't wait to get scrapping those photos! But until they get off my memory card, I'm still scrapping some fun events from last summer.

My hubs and I are big Minnesota Twins fans, so we try to get to a few games throughout the year. On my layout, I changed the stars to baseball hearts because I love Love LOVE baseball.

August Double Page Sketch from Stick It Down

Hey everyone! Here's another quick page from me this month! I really do love creating two page layouts, simply because more pictures = more fun right? 

Here's our sketch challenge from Stick It Down for the month:

I liked the strong lines on the right side and decided to use a Christmas tree diecut there. I also tried my hand at paper weaving again to create a unique border along the bottom! 

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

How are we already approaching the last month of summer? It's crazy how quickly time has flown by, but I'm really excited for this month because....I'm heading to Europe!! YAY!

Just kidding! Butttt this is my 3rd post for the month (which is more than normal for me) so here we go! I had some free time this month (yay for summer!) and decided to enter in a few challenges!

 I'm entering this page in Scrap Our Stash's pick a side challenge, Scrap with Stacy's Challenge and Rochelle Spears' sketch challenge. 

For all of these I was inspired by the circular nature of the sketch and the red/white/blue colors. I also included some wood veneer (check under the small red snowflake) for that added challenge!

July Single Page Sketch and Moodboard from Let's Get Sketchy

How is summer nearing it's halfway mark already? Wow, June flew by far too quickly! This month we have a fun sketch AND mood board to play with from Let's Get Sketchy. And I promise you will LOVE this mood board! Here's this months fun:

Doesn't that mood board just look amazing? Since I'm still scrapbooking Christmas photos (I'm only two years behind!) I decided to capitalize on the red and green tones in these photos.

June Double Page Sketch from Stick It Down

Welcome to summer! What a nice thing to be able to say. 

Summer has been long awaited for many months, here in Minnesota! I'm looking forward to a spending much of my summer at my parents lake house. It's so relaxing and calm at the lake, which is just what I need after a busy school year!

Welcome to June! Summer is finally here! Let's start off the month with a great challenge from Let's Get Sketchy! Here's the fun sketch:

I always love when a sketch includes circles to balance out a rectangular photo. Here's my take on it:

I know right?! What in the world am I doing choosing to scrapbook Christmas in June? Wellllll, I'm a little behind and as you can tell by the photo, this picture was taken in 2017...so I need to do some fast catch-up!

May's Double Page Sketch Challenge from Stick It Down

Hope you've had a wonderful May so far! Mine has been very eventful but thankfully I've been able to fit a little scrapping in! Let's check out a neat two page layout that I just completed.

I created a fun "angled" look with my washi tape and then added some other embellishments to tie it all together. I really love the way the color of the title and flowers kind of "pop"!

March Double Page Sketch with Stick It Down!

Welcome to SPRING! Ahhh....it's nice to know that winter is winding down and summer is on the way! Let's check out the fun Double Page Sketch at Stick It Down this month:

This layout was perfect for showcasing one of my panoramic pictures from our trip to Iceland last summer. I added some fun hot air balloons (who doesn't like hot air balloons right?) for some flair.

February Double Page Sketch with Stick It Down

Yay for February! As a strong fan of the Hallmark Channel, I'm always excited to watch some cute Hallmark  love-y, dove-y movies during the month of February! I hope you're enjoying this month too :)

Isn't this one fun? I love the circular, floral design! Here's what I came up with:

This layout is about a Hot Pot that we visited in Iceland called Seljavellir. We had to hike through a river valley to find this little gem nestled away in the mountains. Such a fun memory!

February Sketch with Let's Get Sketchy!

Happy February everyone!

I love that February is a short month because to me it just means that spring is on the way a little bit quicker! Since I live in Minnesota, I'm perfectly content with a shorter winter :)

I have to say this Crate Paper line called "Snow and Cocoa" has been one of my favorite lines for a few years! It's so bright and cheery!

January Double Page Sketch with Stick It Down!

Hello again! 

I'm back with some exciting news! I was chosen to join Stick It Down's double page team for this upcoming term! Whooo! So excited about that because I LOVE double page layouts!

To kick off the new year, we have this really fun sketch:

 

I loved how this layout incorporated some fun tags! Here's my take:

I rotated the tags to the side and added a fun scalloped border down below. This layout is showcasing all the beautiful lupine (a small purple flower) that we came across while visiting Iceland last summer. I loved seeing fields and fields of it!
